Our Story
I’m George Wiseman, the inventor and founder behind AquaCure. This is my story, in my own words, from growing up without electricity or running water to discovering what would eventually become HydrOxy.
I grew up on a ranch, building fences, riding horses, and doing the kind of work that starts before daylight. We had no electricity, no running water, and a lot of hard winters. It was a tough life, but an honest one. The kind where your word was your bond and neighbors looked out for each other because there wasn’t anyone else to.
I left in 1977 to see the world, and I made myself a promise: I’d never live without electricity or hot running water again. That sent me down the path of becoming an alternative energy inventor, building and improving the kind of systems most people never think twice about.
One of my trades was automotive work, especially fuel systems. In the late 1980s, I started experimenting with Brown’s Gas (also called HydrOxy or HHO) for combustion enhancement: a simple onboard hydrogen system that could improve a vehicle’s fuel economy by about 25%. Some of my systems became known for nearly doubling the mileage of almost any vehicle they were installed on. From there, I built larger electrolyzers, called WaterTorches, powerful enough to fuel an acetylene torch at a fraction of the cost.
Then, in 1996, something amazing happened that I didn’t believe at first. A customer told me he’d used Brown’s Gas bubbled water on a cotton ball to treat a melanoma on his forehead, and in three weeks, it was gone. I’d built this gas as a torch fuel. The idea that it could heal anything seemed absurd to me.
I didn’t believe it enough to try it myself right away. But my customers did, and they kept reporting results. It took years before I started drinking the bubbled water myself in 2005. Two winters later, after not catching a single cold, I was convinced enough to build a version of the machine specifically for health use: the ER50. I sold hundreds of them.
People started asking if they could breathe the gas directly. I said no. I knew it was combustible, and I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. I discovered I was wrong about that too when a customer sent me a video of a hydrogen bar in Asia, where people inhale Brown’s Gas the way we’d get a cup of coffee. As long as the hydrogen stays under the 4.7% combustible threshold in air, it’s safe to inhale. I started breathing it myself in 2016, and that’s when I saw the biggest changes in my own health.
The work didn’t stop there. Since 2016, I’ve kept refining the design based on real feedback from real customers, whether that meant making the machine easier to clean and maintain or building in more safety features to keep hydrogen levels well within a safe range.
