{"id":945,"date":"2024-10-09T17:15:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-09T21:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/?post_type=product-resource&#038;p=945"},"modified":"2024-10-09T17:15:47","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T21:15:47","slug":"q-digital-vs-analogue-efie","status":"publish","type":"product-resource","link":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/product-resource\/q-digital-vs-analogue-efie\/","title":{"rendered":"Q ~ EFIE digital vs anal\u00f3gico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m a certified Automotive Technician and fuel saving inventor; so I was in a unique position to understand WHY the EFIE was needed when electronic fuel injection systems started using oxygen sensors in the 70\u2019s and 80\u2019s.<br \/>\nEffective combustion enhancement (fuel saving) results in more than \u2018normal\u2019 oxygen levels in the exhaust (see EFIE literature for why this is). \u00a0The vehicle\u2019s computer woul then recieve a lower voltage from the oxygen sensor and would ADD FUEL to compensate (negating the potential fuel savings).<br \/>\nI did experimentation and discovered what needed to be done to \u2018correct\u2019 the voltage output of the oxygen sensor so that the computer wouldn\u2019t add additional fuel. \u00a0I got several quotes from electronics engineers to build the circuit I desired and the LEAST cost one was $30,000. \u00a0I decided to learn electronics and do it myself, which I did. \u00a0Again, as an Automotive Technician and inventor I was in a perfect position to KNOW what was needed.<br \/>\nI developed the EFIE to have a \u2018floating\u2019 voltage. \u00a0This is a voltage that is NOT connected to vehicle ground. \u00a0A floating voltage allows you to add an (user adjustable) voltage to the oxygen sensor\u2019s voltage WITHOUT any possibility of damage to the vehicle\u2019s computer. \u00a0This can ONLY be done using a transformer, because a transformer decouples the source of the voltage from ground. \u00a0Thus my EFIEs are \u2018digital\u2019 to generate the original voltage but analogue (with transformer) to connect it to the vehicle.<br \/>\nOnce the need for the EFIE became well developed, other electronics designers came up with their own circuits to add voltage to the oxygen sensor output. \u00a0They did NOT use a transformer so do not have a floating voltage. \u00a0 They advertise their circuits as \u2018digital\u2019 like it\u2019s an advantage. \u00a0It\u2019s not!<br \/>\nMy circuit allows the ORIGINAL oxygen sensor voltage to go to the vehicle\u2019s CPU, adding a (variable) voltage.<br \/>\nTheir circuits stop the original signal from the oxygen sensor, using it as a reference to generate a \u2018new\u2019 signal to the computer.<br \/>\nThe two problems with this \u2018non-floating\u2019 technique are both related to the vehicle\u2019s ground. \u00a0First, if there is ANY ground issues with the \u2018digital\u2019 EFIE or the oxygen sensor, the \u2018digital\u2019 EFIE will not function correctly. \u00a0Second, the \u2018newly generated\u2019 signal may be incompatible with the vehicle\u2019s computer, with possibility of damage to the computer.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve improved the EFIE in the decades since I first invented it and I still use the floating voltage because I design to be SURE of no damage AND reliably achieving the goal.<br \/>\nFurther you may hear of how my EFIE increases voltage as it warms up, like it\u2019s a bad thing. \u00a0I DESIGNED the EFIE so that it would not lean the mixture too much when the engine is cold, and gradually lean more as it warms up, to achieve maximum savings with no performance issues.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"product-resource-group":[104],"restricted-resource-tag":[],"class_list":["post-945","product-resource","type-product-resource","status-publish","hentry","product-resource-group-efie-resources"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product-resource\/945","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product-resource"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product-resource"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=945"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product-resource-group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product-resource-group?post=945"},{"taxonomy":"restricted-resource-tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aquacure-jeffro-dev.linksdev.com\/es\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/restricted-resource-tag?post=945"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
