This listing is for factory-refurbished AquaCure AC50 units. Availability is limited and unpredictable, since we only get a small number back for refurbishment and demand is high. Because of that, we don’t keep a waiting list — instead, we post whatever refurbished units are available on the first and third Tuesday of each month. It’s first come, first served, and once a posting sells out, there are no backorders; check back on the next posting date instead.
Every refurbished unit is brought up to full new-unit standards before it ships: same attachments, same lifetime warranty, same satisfaction guarantee as a brand-new AquaCure AC50. In some ways they’ve had more real-world testing than a new unit, since anything that could go wrong has already shown up and been fixed during that testing. The only reason they’re discounted is cosmetic — a ding, a stain, something that keeps us from calling it “new” — never anything functional.
Refurbished units also work well for rental use, if that’s something you’re considering.

The AC50 produces up to 50 liters of HydrOxy per hour, a roughly two-to-one mix of hydrogen and oxygen also known as Brown’s Gas. You control exactly how much gas it makes, so you can match the setting to what you’re doing, whether that’s infusing a glass of drinking water or breathing it in directly.
We start with a well-built electrolyzer chassis, then rebuild it from the inside out: new wiring, new safety switches, a redesigned tower cap, and independent safety certification most machines don’t have. Lifetime Warranty
Every AquaCure AC50 — refurbished units included — is covered by a lifetime warranty on parts, labor, and shipping for manufacturer-related issues. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and generally isn’t transferable. Even outside of warranty (for example, after a resale), we’ll still repair any AquaCure if the owner covers the cost of parts, labor, and shipping. We’ve supported every machine we’ve ever sold since 1984, and we plan to keep doing that.

Safety Features
Adjustable, Not Fixed
Most hydrogen machines run at one fixed output. The AC50 lets you set exactly how much HydrOxy it produces, shown as a real number on the display, not a guess.
That matters because hydrogen becomes combustible above a 4.7% concentration in air. Most hydrogen research is done around a 2% concentration, the point of full therapeutic benefit without added risk — going higher doesn’t add benefit, just risk. Being able to dial in your setting, rather than being stuck with a fixed output, is what keeps you in that safe, effective range, no matter your size or how you’re using it.
Automatic Shutoffs
- Low liquid level: shuts off gas production and lights an alarm if the water runs low, so the machine can’t run dry.
- High liquid level: shuts off if the machine gets overfilled, which helps prevent lye from escaping into the gas stream — especially important when running the micro-torch attachment.
- Refill indicator: a separate yellow light lets you know when it’s time to add water, well before either shutoff kicks in.
Pressure Control
Water expands dramatically in volume when converted to gas. The AC50 runs at a low operating pressure with a backup relief valve, so if a hose ever gets pinched or kinked, pressure releases automatically instead of building up.
Anti-Backfill Protection
Prevents water from being pulled back into the electrolyzer when the machine shuts off, which helps prevent overfilling and keeps operating pressure low.
Full Power Shutoff
Most electrolyzers only cut the power wire when switched off, leaving the neutral wire live. The AC50’s master switch cuts both.
Adjustable Frequency Output
The AC50 includes an electronic frequency control for advanced users who want to customize the electrical frequency applied during gas production. This is a technical feature — we don’t make specific health claims tied to particular frequency settings.
Independently Certified
Built to CE safety standards, then upgraded to meet CSA/UL and Australian standards as well. Every AC50 is individually tested before it ships.

How It's Used
The AC50 supports several ways of using HydrOxy, depending on what you’re looking for:
- Drink it. Infuse your drinking water, or water for plants, animals, hydroponics, aquaponics, or fish tanks.
- Soak in it. Bubble into a foot bath or full bath for topical, full-body use. For deeper infusion, see our Micro-Bubbler Accessory.
- Spot-treat with it. Use the included applicator for targeted treatment of skin, sore muscles, wounds, or rashes.
- Bag a limb. Direct treatment for joint pain, arthritis, or carpal tunnel.
